Wanted to try a fairly quick project so I made this pod.  It took about an hour, was fairly simple and I will definitely do this again.  This may be my Christmas gift project this year - actually takes less time than last year's monkeys but not as portable.

Cowboy Boots

My first attempt at felting footwear.  I wanted to make a miniature cowboy boot for a gift exchange at DENSI2012 in Montana.  I happened to have an antique child's shoe last so I traced the last, added about an inch all around, extended up for the shaft.  Then I flipped the pattern over and traced it again, these two boots actually start joined together at the top.  Things I learned-the outside is the first layer laid down, if you're not making both boots with the same design be careful when you flip it!  I planned to have one boot with wet felted design and one plain ( to needle felt) instead I wound up with design on one side of each boot.  Below are the finished boots.  Now I will have to make myself a pair of slippers.
